All matches are clock mandatory. If clocks are not available you must use a timer app.
The standard rules as set out in the UKBGF Rules and Code of Conduct will apply in this event. A copy of these will be available for inspection at the event. The TDs may be called to make rulings during play. Players can appeal their decisions; these will go to a ruling committee comprising of three respected backgammon players at the event.
There will be some boards available at the venue, but we advise you bring your own board where possible. The use of baffle boxes is optional.
If there is any problem or dispute, you must report it to the TD as soon as it is noticed. There will be a ruling committee (RC) made up from players at the event. You may appeal the decision of the TD to the RC who's decision is final.
If you wish to record and submit your matches to BMAB you must inform a TD before the tournament starts. If your opponent is recording their match you cannot object. Private recordings must not be shared online without the permission of the opponent. Transcriptions should be shared with opponents if requested.
Some selected matches like the final of the undefeated, fighters and Main will be live streamed by us likely with commentary.
